Qualifications

Experience

• Masters in Child & Adolescent Psychology from Leiden University.

• Following a Postgraduate degree in Integrative Psychotherapy at the University of Antwerp (4-year training in client-centered therapy, CBT, psychoanalysis, and system therapy).

• B.A. in Liberal Arts, majoring in Psychology, Philosophy, and Neuroscience, from University College Roosevelt (Utrecht University).

• EMDR Certificate to treat trauma.

• Registered as (child) psychologist at the Stichting Kwaliteits Register Jeugd.

• Member (aspirant-lid) of the LVVP (Landelijke Vereniging van Vrijgevestigde Psychologen en Psychotherapeuten).

• Registered psychologist in the Belgian Psychology Commission.

• Member of the ACCESS Counselling network.

• Several years of experience treating expat children and adults in a big international mental health clinic in Amsterdam and The Hague.

• Worked in a clinic for troubled children and teenagers together with social workers.

• Regularly gave guest lectures to university students.

• Conducted research with traumatized police officers.

• Worked as a school psychologist at an International German School.

• Following regular supervision.

• Regularly join conferences to keep knowledge up-to-date. 

• Lived in Spain, Germany, The Netherlands, and travelled across Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas.
